Importantly, the money you raise will help save lives. New Zealand has one of the highest rates of drowning in the developed world. All too often people get into difficulty while enjoying our country's favorite playground - the beach.

Surf Life Saving New Zealand is the country's leading water safety organisation. For nearly 100 years Surf Life Saving has been providing beach patrols to the community but this is only part of the commitment to preventing drowning in New Zealand. The proactive approach adopted by Surf Life Saving ensures that public education programmes, beach signage, acquisition of survival skills, and leading edge technology are all used to ensure our beaches are as safer for everyone to enjoy.

Surf Life Saving New Zealand relies on charitable donations to carry on its good work and the money you raise does make a difference. Together we can help make New Zealand's favorite playground safer.
