Team Shorebreak Incorporated

Shorebreak Aquatics is now a well-established swim-coaching programme in Tauranga, having started its programmes in February 2003 at Te Pare a Ruahine, The Aquatic Centre, Bay of Plenty Polytechnic.

Athletes include those who participate in sports such as triathlon, surf life-saving, water polo, and ocean-swimming.

Our events are as follows -
Ocean Swims - Pilot Bay Thursday's 20, 27
December and 3 January
Splash and Dash - Pilot Bay Tuesday 1 January
Ocean Swims - Main Beach Thursdays 21, 28
February and 6 March
Each event will take registrations from 5.30pm and start at 6.15pm

It is the purpose of Team Shorebreak Inc to encourage the participation of athletes (especially young athletes) in aquatic and aquatic-related sports, particularly in the Bay of Plenty area. The Team Shorebreak Inc philosophy recognises swimming as a life skill first and foremost and programmes are based on encouraging participants to enjoy swimming and water environments as both a pastime and a tool for competitive sport. We take our role seriously in supporting our athletes, young and old, to become the best that they can be and at the same time, work towards developing a lifetime love for aquatic sport.
