To make your morning as stress-free and enjoyable as possible, we have added extra collection times and points for you to make getting your swim pack before race day easy. You are also able to collect swim packs for family, friends & swim buddies! The ferry departs at 7:00 am so please collect your pack before event day where possible.

MEP SWIMMERS

If you have purchased a 7 or more Multi Event Pass for the season your pack will be sent out to you in the first week of October. This will have all your goodies, your timing strap (you will use this for ALL your swims this season) and a swim cap.

If you entered a 2-6 Multi Event pass and are swimming in the Bay of Islands you will collect your pack there and use this for Rangitoto Swim so will not need to pick up another pack.

If you are a Multi Event Swimmer and Rangitoto is your first swim for the season, you can check the collection points and times above to collect your pack for the season.

Parking & Transport

To keep the drop-off area flowing as smoothly as possible, there will be a designated drop-off zone where you can stay long enough for your swimmer to get their gear, wish them luck, and then head off to the main event site to cheer them in out of the water. Parking restrictions apply around St Helliers Bay Beach, so take care to read parking rules and follow them. Alternatively, you can use the Wilson Parking Garage  on Turua Street just a short walk to the beach

Traveling by yourself? You can park in St Helliers and catch the bus to Britomart and walk a short distance to be at the Downtown Terminal, buses leave from Tamaki Drive, St Helliers from 5:00 am and the journey takes 30 mins. You can see all but times and plan your journey at AT Hop You can flip it around and park in Auckland CBD and bus back to your car after your swim.

Bag Transfer & Bag Storage

We will organise the transportation of your bag from Rangitoto Island to St Helliwers Bay Beach. We ask that you take only what you REALLY need on the ferry with you. We will have a bag truck at the ferry terminal to take extra bags back before you board the ferry. Any gear you have with you on Rangitoto Island needs to be in a SMALL bag labeled with your name & swim cap colour. The bags will be organised by swim cap colour at the bag drop tent on St Helliers Bay Beach.

Start Groups

There are 6 start groups each with a different coloured cap. You will not be able to change your start group on event morning. You are able to change your start group from your account anytime until Sunday 20 November. To make sure waves are as even as possible to make your swim start less busy and more enjoyable you may be moved to a different group than you selected.
